Last day in Busan. Aaaahh – I left Busan with the feeling that I will come back and sit on the shorelines of Haeundae beach the next time I go there. 🙂
I love that our hotel has a buffet breakfast and by now – I was able to take a picture of it.
So to start off the we-make-as-we-go itinerary, we checked-out first from the hotel and went to Busan station to put our luggages in the lockers. It was nice since you can just leave your luggages in the locker and then go do some strolling and come back for your luggage later.
We chose Busan station instead of Seomyeon station (the one near our hotel) so that we don’t have to transfer later – the KTX train to Seoul departs from Busan station.
Word of advice: before you get your locker make sure that you already got everything you need from your bag because it only opens twice- once to put your locker and another one just in case. So if you forgot something and it already opened twice – you can not use if anymore if you open the third time – you have to pay for another. I hope you get what I’m saying. 🙂 You can choose from three sizes: small, medium and large but it depends on the availability – my luggage fits the medium but since there are no longer medium available I used the large one instead.
From the Busan station, you can ride a bus going to Gamcheon Culture Village. We were supposed to go to Oryukkdo but we ditched that thinking that it was probably the same as the Taejongdae park (maybe I can go there next time) and went to Gamcheon instead.
There was a man in the bus who spotted us and knew that we were going to Gamcheon – he told us that the bus routes has changed and we need to change bus at the next bus stop – we must ride the 1-1 or 2-2 bus going to Gamcheon. We didn’t know that!
We might have looked a hell lot of a tourist because they already knew where we were going – haha- we thank that person and changed buses – the Naver map didn’t told us that.
And as the bus going to Gamcheon treads uphill we are so absorbed in our own stories, we didn’t realise we need to get off. Thankfully, a monk told us that the next stop is the stop going to Gamcheon Culture Village. Ha! That’s the second time that day. It would have been really funny if we got lost but it would have really hurt our schedules too (our KTX train leaves at 3:30PM that day).
*sorry have to cut off this post – since I’m nearing the 500 word mark*
